    Personal Support Worker

    P.S.W. OUTLINE: P.S.W – Personal Support Worker is a 700 hours design program curriculum divided into two subsections. Semester one consists of 390 hours of theoretical instruction and Semester Two 310 hours of Practical training. The program is intended to train individuals to give clients and their families the care and assistance needed to live fulfilling lives in the community and in institutions. The study of this program includes understanding the value of their role in order to reflect a true sensitivity and respect for the individuality of each consumer/client. Some of the personal support workers’ activities include providing their clients with personal care and meal preparation, care positioning, household and family management, assisting clients with their medications and restorative activities.
