What We Hold

Religious Charter

Yorkshire Christian University operates under a religious charter granted to us for the purpose of providing faith-based higher education in the Christian tradition.

Degree-Granting Authority

YCU is authorized to confer certificates, diplomas, and undergraduate and graduate degrees in theological and ministry-related fields.

Statement of Faith

We affirm the historic Christian faith as expressed in the Apostles' Creed and the foundational doctrines of Scripture, the Trinity, and salvation through Jesus Christ.

Faculty Credentials

Our faculty hold earned degrees from accredited theological institutions and bring decades of pastoral, missionary, and academic ministry experience to the classroom.

Academic Standards

All programs maintain rigorous academic standards, including formal coursework, supervised ministry practicums, and thesis or dissertation requirements at graduate levels.

Financial Accountability

YCU maintains transparent financial practices, with an annual budget reviewed by our Board of Regents and made available to students upon request.

Doctrinal Position

Our Statement of Faith

Yorkshire Christian University is committed to the historic Christian faith. We believe and teach the following foundational truths:

The Scriptures. We believe the Bible is the inspired, inerrant Word of God — the supreme authority for faith and practice.
The Trinity. We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Jesus Christ. We believe in the deity of Christ, His virgin birth, sinless life, atoning death, bodily resurrection, and imminent return.
The Holy Spirit. We believe in the person and work of the Holy Spirit, who convicts, regenerates, indwells, and empowers believers for holy living and service.
Salvation. We believe salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone — not by works.
The Church. We believe in the universal Church, the body of Christ, expressed through local congregations gathered for worship, teaching, and fellowship.
The Great Commission. We believe in Christ's command to make disciples of all nations, and we exist to equip men and women for that mission.

Accreditation Status

Our Position on Accreditation

Yorkshire Christian University is committed to maintaining academic standards that exceed those required by recognized accreditation bodies, while preserving our distinctively Biblical and theological identity.

In some cases, national or regional accreditation may impose standards that conflict with our doctrinal position or our Christian mission. Where that is the case, we have chosen to prioritize fidelity to Scripture and the mission of the Church over formal accreditation status.
